Fake it

Every day I stay strong,
I put a fake smile on my face,
waiting for it to stop being fake,
but every day
things just get worse,
and I start to fall back into the dark headfirst,
I slip away from those I love,
I no longer try to hold on.
I'm alone,
and no one misses me,
Until I truly am gone.
