The sky is set ablaze with regret
As ashes cover a fading silhouette
Grinning in the midst of the destruction
The city's greed the creature's induction

It slinks from street to burning street
The cries from the mournful he did eat
Remorseful and woeful in their ending
Their problems clear in doom impending

Ash rains like snow's soft touch
As the city burns in the creature's clutch
Revealed is it's name in the endless flames
Greed, it is, know by many other names

Favorite Quote:
Washington Irving once said “There is sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They are messengers of overwhelming grief and of unspeakable love.”

Again the master of writing seems to be showing off again. ;) Anyway, nothing as far as critique, mainly because poetry is not something I have enough experience in to be able to offer forth anything, but it is obviously well written. I have to ask though, are you ever going to put up any of your short stories? Give me some fiction, and I will critique away.
