there's no way I can let this be.
I've been stressed and filled with empathy,
and never looked for sadness or sympathy,
but even with obvious burdens I feel confused,
these things don't touch me, just leave me bemused.
I'm calm and placid and under control,
possibly from something deep in my soul,
but it's not the only reason I'm fine,
blissfully unaware, ignoring any sign.
It's not my own will that lets me be happy,
and at the risk of these words being sappy,
it's you that keeps me stable and sane,
that drives away my contempt and disdain,
I'd thank you forever but it's not good enough,
every second without you makes life more tough.
You're more than my simple love, you see;
you, my love, are everything to me.
