Apprehension
A feeling flows through me
Like rain flowing down the street
Afraid that the rain would accumulate
And turn into a horrific flood
A flood that will sweep lives away
Cause disaster and destruction
Inside me, it feels like a tornado has struck
Everything is distorted and confused
Where am I?
What do I do?
A feeling of apprehension
Afraid of the future
And what it will come with
Afraid of what it’ll bring
A flood or a tornado
Both equally destructive
Yet I have to stop and think
No one can stop what nature brings
We just have to accept it and overcome it
After the flood, after the tornado,
We can rebuild and reconstruct
Something even better
Something newer
Change is not bad
It’s how we perceive and accept change
That’s what makes the difference
