These days,
Everything is a
‘One more’.
One more fight
Between someone you love;
One more stitch
Torn from an already fraying heart;
One more dollar
Spent on something useless;
One more day
Through which we have to live,
While somewhere else,
It’s one more death
Of someone you know;
One more lie
Told for the good of someone;
And
One more thought
Filed away in my mind
Waiting.
‘Till its one more day
Of something good,
And one less day of
Something sad.
