A Glimpse
A photograph battered and frayed
Barely recognizable but by memory I can recall
The way your curls brushed the tip of your brow
Your hazel eyes narrowing, avoiding the suns callous rays
Your voice resonant and without conceit
And How the corners of your lips teased your cheeks
An affair so perilous
You slipped through my grasp and fell though a crevice
Eyes turning pale and smile vanishing
Your body fatigued and weathered
Memories to painful to recollect
So I place the photograph down for the last time
