I Knew
I knew tou were bad news,
But you wanted a second chance
So I gave it to you, just
Because I thought I loved you.
I knew it was a bad idea,
Considering you ripped my heart apart.
Eight months is just so hard to let go of,
Especially when you're a kid.
I knew you were playing games
For I was doing the same, I
watched you play the perfect
hand, but I was in over my head.
I knew it was over
When you walked away sober
Not once did you look back!
I guess you never cared.
I knew you were bad news
But you wanted a second chance
So I gave it to you, just
Because I thought I loved you.
I knew things would never change
But I gave you my heart anyway.
I let you stomp all over it,
All because I thought I loved you.
