We're All Thinking About What We Should Be
We're all thinking about what we should be,
what we could be,
what we can change, what we wanna see.
But what we never understand,
is the little sense we all lack.
Be like me to fit in,
look this way to be accepted,
if you don't, you'll be rejected.
Bleach your hair, wear these jeans,
otherwise, forget all your dreams.
They're telling you what they wanna see,
but is that who you wanna be?
You gotta make decisions for yourself,
don't let them get the best of you,
just do what you gotta do.
Be like me to fit in,
look this way to be accepted,
if you don't, you'll be rejected.
Bleach your hair, wear these jeans,
otherwise, forget all your dreams.
But you don't have to go their way,
you can pave your own path,
but be careful as you walk,
because there's rocks in the road,
and obstacles to overcome.
Be like me to fit in,
look this way to be accepted,
if you don't, you'll be rejected.
Bleach your hair, wear these jeans,
otherwise, forget all your dreams.
We're always thinking how to be perfect,
but there's no perfection,
perfect has no definition.
Don't be who they tell you to be,
be who you wanna see.
