American Dream
When you stop and think about a good ole boy
You think about a farmer working in the fields of soy
You think he drives the big truck
And maybe he shoots the big buck
And maybe you think he’s living the American dream
He’s got the endurance to stay up late
The fish always seem to take his bait
In school he gets straight a’s
Even if he dreams all day
You still think he’s living the American dream
He joins the army he’s a parachuter
He gets picked off by the sharpshooter
He struggles to live for a day
But he died the honorable way
He knows he just secured 1000 more American dreams
Up in Heaven his smile gleams
He knows he fought for American dreams
