Here’s to the kids
Here’s to the kids
That don’t always get A’s
Because even though they try
It always stays the same
Here’s to the women
That didn’t get to dance
Here’s to the men
That didn’t have a chance
Here’s to the children
That don’t have a home
Here’s to the homeless
Helpless and alone
We’re not always perfect
Not everyone is
Stop making’ us feel worthless
That’s just how it is
We hold hands
We stand up
We have plans
That won’t stop
It’s us that make a difference
We need no interference
Here’s to that girl
Sits in back of the class
No one notices her
But she’s not last
Here’s to that boy
The one everyone finds weird
Here’s to the group
Everyone has feared
Here’s to the teacher
That tried so hard
Here’s to the student
That tried to go far
We’re not always perfect
Not everyone is
So stop making’ us feel worthless
That’s just how it is
We hold hands
We stand up
We have plans that won’t stop
It’s us that make a difference
We need no interference
