Forgive me
I drew them with my finger nails,
Following the long-forgotten trails
Of some forsaken snails;
Gods, I’ll offer you their entrails!
Alas, my nails are now blunt
And with the snails I find myself in common front….
Forgive me, Gods , I fear your wrath’s blunt!
Forgive me! It is a great affront…
I’ll wait for my nails to grow back…
I’ll drink Ambrosia and lay down on the railroad track
And when the train comes there’ll be no take aback,
But just a flashback.
Rotten flowers … you are the tribute to the Gods;
Look now , I have broken the chains against all odds!
