Tin Roof Symphony
I sit in the shed outback
as the rain begins.
At first it is only a
soft, calming, pitter-patter.
Then the soft tapping becomes
more steady.
I begin to feel
Nature’s beat.
Then out of nowhere,
a clash of thunder turns
the steady beat into
a crazy, random, mixed-up
ruckus.
I can barely hear
myself thinking as the
wind howls like a coyote.
It whistles like a bird
as the rain keeps the steady beat.
This is Nature’s symphony,
The symphony of storm.
