Trouble
I wake up and wonder
how the world can be so cruel,
everything fueled by rage.
Children starving in the streets,
others just making ends meet.
Peoples lives at stake.
But no one is there to help.
Selfishness and greed upturn all.
Who knows why? It's a mystery to me.
Frowns overrule smiles.
Lies overrule truth.
An open wound festering at the sight.
Everyday a new day
another day survived.
In this world we call free:
Nor free of pain, nor suffering,
nor lies, nor greed.
Everday is just a mystery to me.
