Little Wing
I am relaxed.
Emotions flood my body,
and escape through my fingers,
as the gentle notes of
"Little Wing"
are flowing around the room.
I feel the sweet mahogany
beneath the music-makers
attached to my hands,
while my head sways,
and my feet pat the floor
in time
with the bass
and drums.
The notes drift
off the walls,
and return to my ears
as my fingers continue
gliding along the
twenty four frets.
And I don't think:
not at all.
My fingers just find
their place
as if they have a mind
of their own.
