Eyes Truly Open
Watching and listening.
Birds fluttering from tree to tree.
The pleasant sound of the beautiful waterfall whooshing
like the waves crashing back and forth
on the sandy shores.
I feel different
A feeling that has never been felt.
Complete calmness.
My heartbeat has slowed
My troubling thoughts have vanished.
All alone
Nobody to disturb me,
nothing to distract me
from the impact of the beauty and wondrous
scenery around me.
The flowing water in the creek
trickles ever so gingerly,
moving along the moist ground
My favorite place
The only place,
Where there is absolute peace and harmony.
My Grandmother’s forest
The only place where my eyes truly open
and never close.
