My Lion Acted More Like A Cheetah
Back a few years ago,
When things started becoming hard,
I met a boy, who I soon fell for,
Every time he made my hear soar
Twas said he fell for me too,
But rather just my body.
So insecure I was, too young to understand.
I got those instant butterflies as he held my hand.
Holding hands didn't last, as he keep urging on.
He said he would always be there, he sang it like a song.
I was his kitten, and be came my lion.
My heart going a mile a minute, you thought it could be flying.
You said you'd be here for me, and said you loved me too.
So young and innocent I believed you.
Then you cheated on me, with my best friend. That's when our relationship really came to an end.
But love never lasted long, as it soon turned into lust.
When I looked in the mirror all I could see was disgust.
Now I can hardly say your name out loud, without silent tears.
I hope you know you broke my heart even after all these years.
