Ghost
Haunting words that you have said
I sympathize better with the dead
Where I'd be better laid instead
Rested amongst what people dread
So soon to question my decisions
Built around sheer precision
Another situation has arisen
My soul is chained and caged like prison
My heart has gone lost and missing
Like a tender connection without the kissing
The stars in heaven surely have been listening
Upon a young man's hope and wishing
It was never mine just for the choosing
Desires to win I only succeeded in losing
Games that circled round my favorite musing
The jokes on them and it's so amusing
But sometimes along the path you've taken
Unto a new enlightenment you are awakened
For a fool a simple mind you must have had me mistaken
For another soul so cursed no need to judge so quick to hasten
The hex has found it's mark a crucifix indeed it is no hoax
It has taken it's toll inflicted damage it's no mere boast
I can see no love in her eyes anymore as I've searched coast to coast
Just a former shell of what I was I'll linger on just as a ghost
