Make-Believe
I’m so sick of having to turn off the radio
Because our stupid song came on
I’ve tried to forget you
But you’ve been in the back of my mind all along
Sometimes I thought you were make-believe
Our “love” now feels so distant
Then I realize that it hurts too much
For you to not have existed
I wonder if you still think of me
Sometimes when it’s late at night
When you’re thinking about how your life went wrong
And you realized that I was right
To be honest, I still really miss you
I have no idea why
You treated me like I was worth nothing
All you ever did was lie
Now let me tell you the truth
I hope you end up alone
As for me, I think I’ll be alright
‘cause I’m now learning how to be on my own
