Unexpected
We met and you tried to woo me
You were different but I didn’t want that
I thought I did, but it wasn’t me
I refused you
So you took me away
You made me say things that weren’t true
I claimed to hate you
You said that would change
You didn’t have a clue
The unexpected happened
My views were smartened
I fell in love with you
The problem is, I know it’s true
Love is so new
It’s hard to hide true love
Why did it have to be you?
I need a medication
I am lovesick
Look at my coloration
I’m trapped and I can’t get loose
I don’t even know if I want to
I’ve been thinking about calling a truce
The unexpected happened
All my senses sharpened
I agreed to marry you
And my parents don’t have a clue
I disappeared for you
A year later, I show up at my parents’
A vase at you they threw
They knew you’re bad
They couldn’t accept it
I sure feel sorry for my dad
They hated you more than I ever did
They thought I was too young for marriage
They treated me like a kid
The unexpected happened
Up they shapened
They let the wedding go on
I sure won
The unexpected happened
Our love fastened
I became like you
Now THAT was new!
