Roses To Weeds

I turn toward the dark
And see those who have left
Backstabbing "friends"
Comitting emotional theft
They remind me of roses
Red and ripe
Always delightful
A beautiful sight
But don't be fooled
They're full of lies
They're like you and me
Because everything dies
Roses are great
As long as you need
Turn away for a second
And you're left with a weed...
