Courage is not a lack of fear, it is acting despite the fear.

I feel like I don’t belong
In this world with no harmonizing song;
Thoughts and feelings tucked within
Nobody knows the torture I’m in;
Not physical as in pain
Nor the feeling of loss with no gain;
But the torture of longing for a better place
One I know is at the finish of this race;
But as much as I want to be there
You’ll find my complaining very rare;
I wish to live the life I’m given
Because life given by God is worth livin’;
So I’ll fulfill my duty on earth
And wait patiently for my new birth.

This poem was inspired by my Christianity and my belief in a better place called Heaven.
