Hence poetry is something more philosophic and of graver importance than history, since its statements are rather of the nature of universals, whereas those of history are singulars. - Aristotle

‎"I think the biggest thing that my failures have taught me is that you can't succeed without failing"

-Rick Riordan

Learn to swear to my minds care.
Tender loving for a fair.
A billion dollars would not pay it.
Only happiness could instate it.
Dizzy and unfocused from your loss.
Like a tragic death from emotions tossed.
Why find a new place?
When we were so happy how it is.
Theirs always a new beginning to relive.
But none as gracious as what we did.
Joy was round at every corner.
Love was found with every corridor.
What more to ask than what was had?
Now we go and throw it away to the trash.
I see no logic in those thoughts.
I keep my mind at peace in fear of cost.
That billion dollars still wont pay.
But my mind has secretly escaped.
Your thoughts are so well hidden.
My thoughts are free running free.
Forbidden loves or a trial of dislike.
All for what might have been a stupid fight?
The same mistake has been made with others,
Why make it again and allow it to bother?

The author's comments:
I was inspired by past mistakes. This poem has to do with multiple relationships and the joys it can bring. It also deals with the sadness a relationship can bring.
