Shattering Diamonds
A million diamonds held us bound
With their hypnotic sound
Streets disappeared behind sheets of glass
We settled on seats of red brass
On a glassed & empty street
Shoulders brush as hands meet.
When diamonds shatter on the ground
The smell of air turns us round
Spider’s webs light the sky
As we watch in our black tie
Hearts bet together, but unknown
To a rhythm all our own
I waited hours just to see
If this was real to more then me
His touch that turned the lamp light cold
A sign for all behold
In his hand a halo sat
And I said yes to that.
A million diamonds held us bound
With their hypnotic sound
As they shattered all around
And I said yes to that
And I said yes to that
