A Picture of Peace
A steaming cup warms my hand,
And the softly strong coffee smells
Comfort me.
The scented waves make me feel strong,
Secure.
My Tall Soy Carmel Macchiato makes me feel
As if I can take on the world.
Nothing is beyond my,
Not philosophy, not logic,
And certainly not World Peace.
Empowered and caffeinated,
I move through the door,
My delicious portable vaporizer
Gently soothes my creased forehead,
And my brain correspondingly relaxes.
The hurried thoughts now smooth and supple
The texture of marble and the lightness of breathe,
Saturated.
A picture of peace.
