Zipped Away in a Body Bag
Look at you,
Look at us.
Destiny has shown its furious hand,
tearing us apart by chaos.
I can't look beyond the tears,
they fill my eyes, my body, my soul.
For all my memories of you
are zipped away in a body bag.
Just yesterday I thought it would never end,
the laughter, the fun, filling our days.
Now I know the saying is true,
Nothing this sweet can last forever.
For all my memories of you
are zipped away in a body bag.
I sit alone, my face a blank slate.
This is not how life is supposed to be,
this couldn't be what was intended.
Now I've decided to join my friend,
to bring back the happier days.
For now all our memories of eachother
are together in a body bag.
