Replacement Love
I see your smirk in every smile I pass, I sense you behind every set of eyes that ever glance in my direction.
My words are used just as my skin is;
I’m filthy with your fingerprints…fingerprints that are too deep to wash off.
Your hands have molded my soul, my heart, my mind in its entirety
into being completely absorbed in the thought of you.
I think the only way to undo what you have done
is to fall in love again.
It makes sense that new love would be capable
of overcoming previous love,
and if not then there is no hope for me.
