Who Am I?
Do you think that if I really smiled, that you would know?
Or would you even recognize me?
If my laugh was real,
do you think you would hear it in my voice?
Or has my rehearsing paid off?
When you look into my eyes,
do you see yourself or him?
Do you see my pain?
My sorrow?
My loss?
Do you see spark?
Or do you see complete dullness?
Do you see anything at all?
Do you see me?
I don't.
I can't see 'me' any more,
there is no 'me',
now I'm everybody else,
not 'me'
You might think you know me,
but if you look a little closer,
you have no idea,
no one does.
