When Love Meets Deceit
I'm finally refusing to wait
For the sky to turn red
And weep tears of pain
That drop like sails of lead
I'm so apathetic
To the things that you've done
To the stitches in my throat
To your lies that rise like the sun
I wonder where you are
Lost in that alternate personality
While blind hope has kept me here
Piecing together my sanity
Your paper anchor love
Has sunken to the depths of deceit
As did our perfect future
That evolved to be so bittersweet
Why are you so oblivious
To this sea of hurt and lies
That washes so deathly cold
In your once warm eyes
But this pretense we call love
Has sang its last song
So say your final words
To this lie thats become so strong
