And that's the thing about the future. It's unknown, unknowable, but before you know it, you're there.

Where did that naive girl go?
The one who would skip down the hallways
left, left, right. Right, right, left.
On and on and on and on
reminding me to hold on to my childhood days,
believing fantasies, so unreal.
But she doesn’t know that. At least, not yet.

Who stole the ignorance of his youth?
The bliss of oblivion and not knowing wrong
and to him, everything is funny,
like a joke, one told twice too many,
he makes ne laugh at the slightest thing.
Mist covering truth like the fog blocks the sun
But wait until tomorrow, when the for cast is always clear.

When will he be fantastical again?
Now thirteen, knowing the evil things out there
exposed to the wonders of hate,
making it difficult to protect, trying to convince myself I was different.
Maybe when he’s 80, unmoving, older and wiser than ever before
he’ll dream of the days when he was young.

What about me, what is my Father’s plan?
I don’t worry about that, because life is a tough crowd.
I’m twenty two, but still growing up somehow.
Life is a circus - hectic, outrageous, and fast.
Just lost my balance on the tightrope
but it’s never too late to get it back.

I saw her one day. Probably 6, no more than that. I saw her innocent smile, crushed. Burned and wrecked to pieces. I cried, knowing she was awakened. Into the new world. Our world, the only one we know of, full of anger and hate. But I've figured the point of life out - it's not about the 'now', the 'then'. It's about what will become of us. Stop longing for the past. Get ready to embrace the future.

You did? Schweeeet! Oops, that's not a word. I dunno . . . teach picked out a sentence (which was something like, "unabation of her to grow" or something) and I elaborate. Thats the way the game works.

I wrote a song with this same title! Why is it called Unabated?
