Graduation
Cemented walls kept us unhapp’ly trapped
We did not know, we later would regret
Our daily lives spent in this great mirage
What seemed so dire was so significant
We panicked with the problems
Fought through the sea of homework
Survived sleepless nights of projects
Making through with less than a breeze
The lessons taught and sometimes learned,
Hard tests failed and detentions served
With limited maturity,
We never knew much better
How would we change if we went back?
We’ll probably never know
