Quietly into the Night
Quietly into the night,
His heart was full of fright
He felt full of horrid spite
He slipped quietly into the night.
Hate was in his soul,
The pains, they took its toll,
His heart was pounding with a fight
He slipped quietly into the night
Tears fell from his swollen eyes
Watching the world that he despised
Slip away and out of sight.
He slipped quietly into the night.
The pain was too much to stand,
Other’s words influenced his reprimand
So no more will by him be affright
He slipped quietly into the night.
His heart, it fought the battle no more,
His love was one for unrequite
His life was too much of a tortured chore
He slipped quietly into the night
And so, my gentle friend
You witnessed his life’s bitter end,
Ended without hindsight
He slipped quietly into the night.
