Naked Truth
I’m crying and I’m stressing
I’m on my knees confessing
Concealing curse or blessing
This is naked truth
I love him more than I can say
I’d kill to save him any day
But you don’t know him anyway
This is naked truth
Sometimes I cry, with lacking reason
I don’t see light in darkest season
And how I seem seems truth to treason
This is naked truth
I stare at the mirror and hate what I see
‘Because that’s a stranger that’s staring at me
Consumed and controlled by popularity
This is naked truth
I stand proudly though I’m weak
But truthful, it’s not strength I seek
I’ll live the day with a grin on my cheek
This is naked truth
I am untruthful, I bathe in lies
The devil sadistically bounds secret ties
But honesty’s humble while I fly
This is naked truth
You say right; I take your word
It’s actually left, and you say I’m absurd
Though the misdirection is from you I heard
This is naked truth
Too many friends and yet too little
My day is as lone as the song from the fiddle
Confusing as sweet, ‘cause my life is a riddle
This is naked truth
The rage that can burn is beyond my reach
And I listen in tears to that terrible preach
I can’t say when it sparks, ‘cause it starts with pure speech
This is naked truth
Why I do this, you must ask?
Well honesty’s a difficult task
‘cause when I lie, its joy I lack
When a word leaves your lips, you can’t take it back…
I’m crying and I’m stressing
I’m on my knees confessing
Concealing curse or blessing
This is naked truth
