When the world stopped
Who knew the world would stop spinning that day.
Just like the one day before we went through,
Waking up grab a bite and out the door.
No one had a clue terror came so soon.
We sat in class not knowing what to think.
Then someone told us to turn on the news,
We saw the smoke and fire, plus so much more.
The second plane crashed in the building too.
Then horror began, questions also came,
What did we do, how can you justify it?
There’s nothing to say, nothing to be done,
So broken yet so many lives were lost.
In oh so little time the horror came,
What happened so fast, no one could have seen,
That was the day the world came crashing down.
