I Once Had a Heart

Had
a
heart
i once had a heart.
it cracked like a firework,
hissing up towards the sky to mingle with the stars.
embers, spinning and jiving with planets and galaxies,
lost sight of the earth.
the fiery purples and reds worked to mask the moon’s face
in a kaleidoscope of colors fading in and out, befor fleeting,
evanescent,
into the azure.
