Closed Box
I wanted to go up to you
and say, “I love you”
But, I feel trapped in a closed box,
with nobody to hold me, or help me get out.
This box is just so small
not even my broken heart can fit.
What should I do?
Should I scream for help?
Or why don’t I yell?
If I scream, nobody can
hear me yelling.
And if I yell, nobody can
hear me screaming.
Tell me if I should rip
this box open.
Or tell me is this a safe
place for me.
Should I not care
what people say,
and get out.
Or should I be scared
and stay trapped in this
closed box forever!
