Diabolical Compact
Seeing it
in the dark.
Feeling it
in the cold.
Catastrophe cannonades
my castle
into
a catacomb.
The rouge emotions
follow me -
hollow me
into
secrets never shown.
Lashed and lammed
the blue world
shivers
a monotone -
crash landing,
my black heart
quivers
ugly, unsewn.
No haven in which to hide,
no human in whom to confide,
so suddenly am I prone -
so hauntingly do my pains
become mine, and mine alone.
Now,
so long do I fail
to see
the purpose.
So long am I jailed
to jolts and jabs
of worthless.
To whom to speak?
For whom to breathe:
I dot my calling on the leaden line,
my soul is devilishly divine.
