It follows closely behind
And leaves no sign of existence
It stays by your side
Until the sun is far in the distance
It never sheds a tear
Never says a word
It closely holds your fear
But it never goes unheard
It mirrors your every movement
But never turns its back
It swirls with the current
But never steps foot off track
It’s my silent shadow that stays true to me
It’s my silent figure you were meant to see
