She is oblivious to the world around her
Always twiddling thumbs
Writing out a new message to her friends
God forbid the electronic screen die out
And leave her alone
With no means of communication
Wait patiently for an answer...
Not all are as fast as she
Her lightning hands
Her eyes
no longer need to watch the keys
arms strap to her side
she blinks unseeingly
through her wide,
glowing screen
Without thought, her mouth opens
instead of voice
she emits a noisy
BEEP!
Announcing a new text
A thumb loomed above her...
