Someday, when I'm older

I'll learn to love and take the things with me that I thought I would forget

Someday, when I'm older,

I'll think to regret every mistake I thought I would never make

Someday, when I'm older,

And you're just a memory; I'll forget to hate confrontation

Someday, when I'm older,

I'll take this with me, and not hide it in my empty heart

Someday, I'll be older-

Wiser,

And someday I'll be ready for the world

Someday, when I'm older,

I'll remember when

I thought I needed someone else to feel whole

And that it didn't even work

Someday, when I'm older,

I won't take for granted the constant love and affection of someone else

Someday, when I'm older,

I wont criticize the heart of every soul as if it were an interrogation

Someday,

I'll forget I missed out on some of the things I wanted to do

Someday,

I'll laugh and say it was for the best

Someday when I'm older,

I'll be the person I wish everyone else were

Someday, I'll hope to love as much as I know I wanted to

Someday, when I'm older,

I won't push and pull the only people who need to be there at all

Someday

I'll be older
