Journey
I’ve been walking
Contemplating
A journey through another person’s shoes
One million steps can
Lead to nothing
It’s a wonder how far I can go
Patients can burn out quickly
So can hopes and dreams
All these things are temporary
I have my doubts but I
Still move on
Guiding my life to another
Feels like extra weight
I’ll carry on
This aggravation is temporary
I’ll make it to my
Home sweet home
A seemingly messy endless travel
This collides with my state of mind
Though I may stumble, lose my way it’s
Sill some sort of bitter-sweet victory
Though I may cry, though I may weep
I’ll remain strong until I reach my
Loving destination
I have my doubts but I
Still move on
Guiding my life to another
Carrying this extra weight
I’ll carry on
This aggravation is temporary
Can’t wait to get to my
Home sweet home
When I get to you, I won’t walk
I’ll run, and then hold you in a tight embrace
All this
While I tell you of my travels.
“I’ve been walking
Contemplating
A journey through your shoes
One million steps can
Lead me somewhere
In this case, it’s you
It’s always been you”
I’ll hold on to you
And whisper in your ear
“Home sweet home”
“You are my… home sweet home”
