You can throw your sticks and stones
You can try and break my bones
Still I stand before you, strong
Still I try to prove you wrong

Through my written works I show
A side of me you'll never know
I keep it hidden, under the sheets
All my mind's hidden treats

If there is a lesson to learn
This would be the one
In effigy, me you may burn
But the hurt in me is none
