It's not the first time you've given in
To piercing pain and taunting mind games
Vibrant red at the touch of a blade
The marks you make are always the same

But I won't call you emo
Because that is not your name

On the day that you were born
You were butt naked as can be
Your own parents didn't see a s***
But the cutest baby they're ever seen

But I won't call you a w****
Because that is not your name

On a roll, as high as you can be
Nothing rules you more than your own thoughts
You think there's no use to fight the addiction
Day after day, it's all that you got

But I won't call you a druggie
Because that is not your name

On the field you're called superstar
But they can't see past who you are
How you long for a dream of your own
Smarts not sports- they won't let you go that far

But I won't call you a jock
Because that is not your name

A little different, you love someone else
They're never know, they can't tell
But when you come out all you see
Is how much you're trapped in a personal hell

But I won't call you a f*****
Because that is not your name

Think and go back to day one
The day you got your real name
No one cares for it anymore
They've made their own and made them stay
We're all individuals from head to toe
No one's alike, yet we're one in the same

So I'll remind you, we're all unique
And that is why we were given our own names.

I absolutely hate stereotypes. Labels are for cans, not people.
