Changing for Love

He told me he would love me if I changed my shoes,
I changed my shoes to pricey stilettos,
but he said I still wasn't right,
He promised he would love me if I dyed my hair,
I dyed my hair platinum blonde,
but he said I wasn't perfect yet,
He swore he would love me if I just gave up art,
I gave up art hoping to please him,
but he said I wasn't good enough yet,
I told him to give up football the only thing he lived for,
He didn't even try and he said I couldn't change him,
The next thing I gave up was trying to change for him.
