"if i could give her a big does of 'be nice' then we'd all live happily ever after." -Stevie Rae, Chosen.

I hate what he’s done to me. What I’ve done to him.
I choke on my own self pity.
I cry out in pain.
The tears fall down my cheeks.

I feel empty.

Without him.
Without his Warmth

I miss him
I need him
I want him

But now
He’s gone
Like a magician and his puff of smoke
Just... gone.

Time freezes

And here I sit
Can’t breathe
Can’t swallow

Drowning in the lost love
Of him
Of me

Our connection blood deep
I feel what he feels

He cries
I cry

He dies
I die

We lie

But together.

Only with the essence of who we were

So yes
Emptiness is what I feel

Without him

The author's comments:
Pain like this could only come from one thing, losing someone you love. I've lost someone I've loved before and I owe that person my gratitude. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be able to channel the emotions I felt as I poured my heart into this poem.

"Think positive, or I'll have to start singing."

Your poetry is amazing! The last line...wow. There are no words for it.
