Back to the Ocean
The ocean waves crash upon the beach,
The birds hit by water yell and screech,
A beautiful seashell washes upon the shore,
It has managed to survive the sea of war.
The waves crash and tumble, but never seem to end,
From the tip of the island, to just around the bend.
The beautiful creatures, that wade in the tides,
Seem to be forming right before our eyes.
Out to the very depths of deep blue,
The fish and sea creatures travel by two.
The shifts and gives way under our feet,
But stops where the cool sand and water do meet.
Over the tops of the dunes, sandy white,
Past the sand crabs that scurry at night,
Through the mist of midmorning, to afternoons fair,
Back to the ocean and the warm salt sea air.
