Truth
The world once seen through eyes of old
Now buried in the past
A story never thought or told
Of time when truth was vast
What innocents did this world see?
When human eyes were blind
What lie then could spread or be?
In a world void of our kind
The night cast shadow on the earth
For telling days next dawn
When human kinds first sight gave birth
To a world with truth now gone
For things just were (when undefined)
As simple as can be
Than man lay out their grand design
And truth fell from life's tree
The sea of truth once vast and keen
made shallow by our touch
Tainted by our lies unseen
Hidden in our clutch
Bound to the ignorance of our kind
Truth can never be
And 'till again we all go blind
The only truth - what we can see.
