"Here's to waking up Thursday, and thinking it's Friday."
"It's Wednesday, dude."

"And we didn't think it was very cool, so... we tried to kill him."
"Dude, they're cops!"

"Great minds think alike."
"And fools seldom differ."

I'm not scared

It's true, I'm fine

The dark is okay, that I don't mind

Monsters, no problem

Death, piece of cake

I'm not the one with boots starting to quake

I'm not afraid

I promise, I can't lie

Tonight is safe, nobody will die

Candles glow brightly

Half smiles aren't frightening

There aren't creepy storms,

no rain, no lightening

I'm not scared

Though my heart's pouding loudly

My eyes are wide, people racing about me

I open my mouth, but before I can scream,

the ghost at the door yells,

"Happy Halloween!"

I wrote this after I finish my CORE Reading Assesment in December, go figure. I was bored, and that last line popped into my head. I liked it so much, I based the poem off of it.
