Inside Love
I look at her folded wrinkles
around her eyes
tired with old age
knowing that they long
to be bright.
I watch her spotted hands
as they hold her
cracked mug shakily
and feel their
softness.
Her earlobes are
long from the pull
of her clip-ons.
She was afraid
to get them pierced.
As her faded lips
brush my face
a secret tune
fills me
attracting me to her
love.
