Sorts, Suits, And The Waistcoats MAG
Whatever happened to Bonnie and Clyde?
Did you feel bad when Charlie Brown died?
Did you cry, did you try to grow older?
Did you cheat, did you lie, are you stronger, colder?
Or maybe they left you like that for a reason.
Somewhere I sense a semblance of treason.
'Tis the season for appeasing,
'tis the crimes that kill the time and blind the courts
of many sorts and suits to lay in order.
Apparently, we've reached the border.
If I cross, if I stay, I'll take you with me anyway
beyond the sinking, shallow lights,
where human eyes can see no more,
behind the winding, blinding sights
that hold our faces to the floor
keep us quiet, keep us sane
keep us on the narrow plane,
keep us sorry, keep us dead,
but don't believe a thing you've read.
