Seagull's View MAG
A tiny seagull wading in a huge ocean
Peaceful eyes look o'er abandoned stretch of land.
Strong the tide pulls, but legs will not begin,
To let the muck of the water sink in,
To the soul of the gull alone on the sand.
It smiles with the waters, yet is not blue or gray.
The gull tries to make the ocean roll kind and sweet
But it gets tired of being just one way
Tomorrow on land, but today ...
Yet the gull never lets the water get past his feet.
Will it ever dive into rolling water and turn?
It just stares, peaceful eyes at the water along,
The wet sand when in life you learn,
Some fall in and never return.
Let my wings fly me away to where I belong.
